11 Weeks Pregnant

I'm 11 Weeks Pregnant today! I'm getting so close to my second trimester! I'm really looking forward to getting some of my energy back! It's so crazy how fast Baby Davis is growing!

Stats: The crown-to-rump length of your baby is 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches. Fetal weight is about 0.3 ounces. Our baby is about the size of a large lime.

Movement: Too early for me to feel the baby moving yet but I can't wait!

Feeling: I've been feeling really good! I've learned to eat snacks every couple of hours and that helps with the nausea. I have had the stomach virus this week and that's never fun but other than that I'm feeling good. The main pregnancy symptom that I've noticed the most is how tired I am. It's the weirdest thing. I feel like I've ran a marathon every single day even if I haven't done anything!

Food: Well I'll just say I'm an even pickier eater than I was before if you can even imagine that! Food just doesn't sound good to me. I can't really plan my meals ahead of time because I don't ever know what I'm going to be able to eat. Also I haven't really been able to cook much because if I see raw meat before its cooked then I can't eat it. Phillip has been wonderful at having dinner ready for me when I get home from work! I could get use to that!

Gifts: Baby Davis has already received several gifts! Phillip and I have been so blessed to have the love and support from our family and friends. We are so lucky to have such wonderful people around us! People are constantly giving us advice and words of encouragement about this pregnancy! I also want to thank everyone that is praying for us and our baby! That means so much to us!!! Please continue to keep us and our baby in your prayers! Here are some pictures of the fun gifts Baby Davis has received!

These are two of my favorite baby books! I was so excited when I opened them!
How cute is this little Bib? I'm pretty sure that Baby Davis will be a Razorback Fan especially if Phillip has anything to do with it!
This sweet little Lamb is so precious! It's so soft and it's also a rattle! All of these sweet gifts make me so excited to meet Baby Davis!

First Doctor's Appointment

This past Monday November 22nd we had our first Doctor's Appointment. We are using Dr. Amy Wiedower Eble as our Obstetrician. She has been my doctor for a while now. I really like her a lot and am really excited that she will be delivering my baby! Our appointment was at 9:45 on Monday morning. We have been looking forward to this appointment so much! We got to have our first ultrasound! It was absolutely amazing to see our little baby's heart beating! The doctor said that every looked good! Our baby was 2.04cm at this visit. The size of a gummy bear! It was such a relief to go to the doctor and have her tell us that everything looked good and that I was indeed pregnant. She confirmed our due date as July 2, 2011! That seems like forever from now! We go back to the doctor on December 30th!

Baby News!

We found out that we were pregnant on October 18th! We were so  excited! I didn't do anything unique or exciting to tell Phillip that we were pregnant! I just started screaming! He was still in bed sleeping when I took the pregnancy test! He is actually the one that suggested that I take the test to begin with. I did not think that I was pregnant but I knew something weird was going on! I told him that I would take a test in the morning. So on October 18th at 4:30 am I took a test. I just went back to bed didn't even look at the results. When I got up to get ready for work I went in the bathroom to find a positive pregnancy test! I just started screaming! He shot up out of bed and said "what's wrong?" I came running into the bedroom and said "Um... I think we are pregnant!" If you know me at all you know that I wanted to call everyone that I knew at that very moment and tell them the exciting news but I didn't! I did know that it was going to be a very hard secret to keep. We had to hurry and decide when we were going to tell our parents because I knew that I was going to have to tell my work as soon as possible since I work at a hospital around sick children all day. I have a list of diseases that pregnant women are encouraged to stay away from. I knew that I wanted to do something cute and fun to tell my co-workers that we were pregnant. Phillip called Community Bakery and order two sets of cookies that said WE ARE PREGNANT on every cookie. I had one set made for my work and the other set made to tell my parents! We did not want either one of our families to find out from anyone but us so we decided we better go tell my family the night before I told my work! Plus yes I was dying to tell my mother! So I got off work early on Tuesday October 19th and we headed to Conway! Phillip had called my parents to make sure that they were going to be home! Nanaw was also over at there house eating dinner which worked out perfect! We just showed up in Conway around 6:00 and surprised them. Here is a video of there reaction.

My parents were so excited! We had so much fun telling them our exciting news! The next morning I took the cookies to work and told my co-workers.  I also went to dinner that night at On the Border with some co-workers that work different shifts than I do! They were all really excited as well. We have had so much fun telling our family and friends!

We couldn't get to El dorado until Halloween weekend! We were dying to tell Phillip's family the news and we were scared to death that they were going to hear from someone else! We head down to El dorado on October 29th! They did know that we were coming for the weekend. I bought a t-shirt that said in huge letters I'M PREGNANT! When we got to Phillip's parents house we took our stuff upstairs. We knew that Phillip's brother Joey and wife Lori were coming over for dinner. Phillip's oldest brother Leslie and wife Melissa  were out of town for the night so we told them the next day. We heard Joey and Lori come in while we were upstairs. We assumed that everyone was in the kitchen. I took off my sweater and we headed down the stairs to tell everyone! They were so surprised! Phillip's dad was outside on the phone but he said he knew exactly what was happening when he saw all of us smiling! Here is a video and some pictures of there reaction.
